Who is this course for?
Industry personnel such as pump equipment importers, installers, designers and consultants, rural servicing companies, plumbers and general trades involved with installation and supply of water pumps.
What will you learn?
You will gain the skills to select the correct water pump to meet specific pump performance requirements.
You'll practise with new knowledge and skills and take away valuable reference materials including a comprehensive manual/workbook, an Excel Pump Head Calculator, and extracts from the APMA Pipe Friction and Technical Handbooks.

On Completion
Participants who successfully complete this course and the post-course assignment will be awarded a NZQA Micro-Credential Certificate in Selecting the Right Pump for Rural Fluid Systems, and NZQA Unit Standards 29158 — Demonstrate knowledge of basic hydraulic theory for rural fluid systems (Level 3, 2 credits) and 29163 — Demonstrate knowledge of pumps and pump selection for rural systems (Level 4, 6 credits), recorded on their NZQA Record of Learning.
